Fatigue, On-Set of Food Allergies, and Thyroid Issues....
For someone who has been on the go since age 15 working two jobs and being a cheerleader in Jr. High and High School; then taking 20 credits and working two jobs in college; then to starting Real Estate while still working a job in my mid-20s --- I have just done what was needed and my body has just handled it. While this has taken me far with so many endeavors and given me success, my body has taken the physical toll. Overcoming cancer in my mid-30s was a huge wake up call!! For the past 6 years, I have been on a health journey learning and uncovering how best to take care of this vessel I was given. As I learn about things to implement, I share them here. I hope some of you read it and ponder how this could help you.
As someone who has been "on the go" and enjoyed it, I've unconsciously been telling my body that I'm running a race. When we rush, we signal our brain that we are "in danger" - when in reality we are just stressed (or just rushing around)! Unfortunately, our brain can't determine the difference. So, I've been sending "stressed/danger" signals to my brain for years to the point that I've drained my adrenals from secreting cortisol for far too long. Fatigue, random on-set of food allergies, autoimmune thyroid conditions can stem from our "rushing" (ie. stress) that sends crazy signals to our body affecting our gut and glands. I've done lots of supplementation and IV's to see improvement in myself but as we came into 2024, I knew that something else needed to change.
Through listening to a podcast, I found Rushing Woman's Syndrome by Dr. Libby Weaver. It is like reading a biochemistry book on how your body works in a very digestible way. She explains how the nervous system responds to our life and habits, and what the cascading signals tell our bodies to do. It is no wonder why so many people today are experiencing less than optimal health. So many answers to what's ailing people's health can be helped by reading this book. Buy this today! Educate yourself, make changes, and be the example for the next generation.
